For those who know our story and have seen our relationship grow, they can attest that it truly is a fairy tale. Josue and I met in october of 2013 at a party in Potsdam, N.Y. I had just started college, and he was a senior. We were introduced by a mutual friend, and you could tell immediately that we had a spark.

We went on a couple of dates, but it was evident that he was about to graduate while I still had my entire college experience ahead of me. It just wasn't going to work out.

Fast-forward to 2018: I had just recently moved to Nashville, TN. I was living my single life—young, professional, and independent. As I scrolled through Instagram, I noticed that Josue had posted a story with the location "Owensboro, KY." It doesn't take much geography knowledge to realize that Tennessee and Kentucky are neighboring states. I was shocked! who would have thought we would end up in the South, only a couple hours apart? Of course, I messaged him.

We started texting back and forth, trying to catch up on life after five years apart. I told myself, "Julie, you miss all the shots you don't take." So, I decided to throw a Halloween party and invited Josue. To my surprise, he actually came.

As time went on, we would spend weekends in Nashville or Kentucky, but we never really addressed the question, "What’s going to happen?"... Then Covid hit... Both of us were forced into lockdown, with no idea of what the future would hold. Josue decided to take a leap of faith and moved from Kentucky to Nashville...

The past five years have been the best of our lives. From becoming first-time homeowners to Josue proposing in Colombia, and, of course, welcoming our baby girl, Aleyna Victoria, on March 10th, 2024, it has been an incredible journey. We cannot wait to officially celebrate this union with our friends and family!
